If you live in a large city such as Los Angeles or New York, there may even be specific websites geared toward listing modeling agencies and auditions in your area. If not, there is always Craigslist, along with other similar job posting sites.
Many times, you can take your modeling portfolio to a modeling agency and sign on with them. This will give you access to many more auditions than you would be able to find on your own. Modeling agencies may also be able to give you tips on how to nail the audition because they know what that specific director is usually looking for. You will have to give up part of your appearance fee to the agency, but that experience can often be worth it if you end up landing more auditions or modeling and acting jobs as a result.
